Goa - Relax, Party, Sip, Drink, Dance. One place many experiences and memories

There are very few places on earth, where you can soak in the sun, sip your favorite wine, relax without thinking about the rest of world, party whole night, everything at the same time. A place for both family and for friends.

Bogmalo

After all my experiences on multiple visits and after covering length and breadth of Goa, have figures out some of the interesting facts about this place. These information might help you plan your visit and stay in Goa, if not good, then in better ways.

Goa with family :
According to me, South Goa is best when you are with family. South Goa is extremely calm, allows you to spend quality time with your family and enjoy clean and non crowded beaches like Bogmalo. Close proximity to Airport is a boon. Bogmalo beach resort is one of good place to stay there. There are plenty of travel options available. If you feel like dancing at a club, just rent a bike or car to Baga, Vagator, Anjuna.

Goa with friends :
Blindly go and reserve some place in North Goa. It really doesn't matter whether you stay in Colungut, Anjuna or Baga, all places are just a bike ride away. Just chose the night stay wisely and as per the need. North can be very expensive at times, so if you are planning to spend most of your times at beach or clubs, there is no point spending on star hotels, just go for some sacks or lodge/home stays.

Getting to Goa :
Goa is well connected by Air and road from almost all major cities in India. There are multiple trains from Mumbai / Bangalore as well. Drive to Goa from Mumbai and Bangalore both are memorable, but are tiring because of long distance and bad road at times.

South Goa is for relaxation and North Goa is for hard core party types.

Wayanad, Kerala, Nature at its best

If you have an appetite for raw nature, love forests, trekking, hiking, believe in taking bath in freshest water streams inside deep jungles, Wayanad is the place for you.

I had been to Wayanad on trekking expeditions on multiple occasions, but this time for a change this time tried to do something relaxing. Me and few friends went a nature resort called Ela Blooms this time. This place is a must visit and must stay for all adventurous type of people.

Wayanad is approximately 285 Kms from Bangalore via Mysore road and 298 Kms via Kanakpura road. Drive through the vast jungles itself is an experience, elephant sighting is very common on the way to Wayanad.

Things to remember when you are planning Wayanad as your next destination :

1. Carry all original motor vehicle documents. If you are planning to drive yellow board car, be sure to stop at the RTO office before entering Kerala state.
2. Drive through forest areas/roads are restricted from 9 PM to 6 AM, so plan accordingly. This restrictions are there across all forest roads in South India and across all states. This restrictions are for good, so that we human do not disturb wild animals at night and wee hours.
3. DO NOT carry liquor, even if you manage to carry liquor under the tables of excise near state border, do not feel proud, Kerala government is extremely serious on liquor ban which is currently prevailing and it is a serious offence to carry hard liquor from other state to Kerala. Support the government by keeping Kerala hard liquor free.
** If you really have the need to sip, check out local wine shops in nearby places, you'll find plenty

Hope these information helps you plan better.
Will keep exploring new places and will keep sharing, Until then.. have fun

Gokarna

Gokarna is very well connected by bus as well as train. From Bangalore there are many direct busses available to Gokarna. It takes around 12 hours approx to reach there from bangalore, although, it depends on the route. There are two routes to Gokarna from Bangalore, One via Hubli and the other one which is comparativly shorter is via Shimoga. The best option, if you want to have full fun, go directly to Ohm beach. From Gokarna beach, you can either trek to Ohm beach or you can take a auto ride. The best place to stay (if you are lucky to get a cottage) is paradise beach. This beach is 2 hours trek from Om beach towards south through beautiful mountains. On the way during your trek, you can drop by at half moon beach. On reaching paradise beach, the first thing to do is, book one cottage. Most of the time this beach is occupied only by foreigners. I found it the most remote and beautiful beach of all. The only way to reach there is by trek. Although I managed to find one road that connects to the highway(approx 4 Km trek)from paradise beach, I would suggest the trek from om beach.Gokarna, Kudle, Om, half moon and paradise beach are the main spot. Although there are few more down the beach line, I couldn't manage to visit the reaming ones. I'm sure there are many other beaches to be discovered.
